Deploying Agents in an Electronic Banking Environment

In this paper, we report on the deployment of an agentbased extension to an ele troni banking environment whi h has been developed in ooperation with a software ompany spe ializing in ele troni banking solutions. During development of a prototype we made valuable experien es on erning the understanding and appli ation of agent te hnology and its transition to industry. Several lessons that an be learnt from our experien es are dis ussed and issues of future resear h that enable the industrial appli ation of agent te hnology are dis overed.
